*** As expected, the IRS released the final instructions for the new Form 990 today (8/19/08), which exempt organizations will begin filing next calendar year. As reported by ASAE in Inroads, the final instructions do include changes based on some of the public comments the IRS solicited from the tax exempt community this spring. The Strategic Nonprofit Alliance Partnership (SNAP), sponsored by James Moore & Co., CPA’s and Consultants, serves as a training forum for nonprofit organizations. SNAP is designed to more fully expand the peer learning process within the nonprofit industry. Our goal is to provide a structured format for nonprofit organizations, directors, staff and volunteers to learn new ideas, processes and procedures. SNAP provides participants the training they need to begin incorporating new information into existing programs and administrative procedures.
